I hope the premiere of Season 4 is such a laugh-and-a-half that I get whiplash from watching the Season 3 finale right before it
I don’t think Cristobal’s totally braindead. His eyes closing at the end, to me, means he’s aware that he’s safe in Hank’s arms and can relax now. Hank, on the other hand, is just now realizing how traumatizing this whole endeavor was.

I was thinking that Hank probably references so many American movies/songs because he grew up watching/listening to them and that inspired a dream of moving to America. It was probably a form of escapism, especially when he was in prison (as his tattoos suggest) (no I don’t know if there’s a video library in Chechen prisons idc).
I was thinking he probably jumped at the chance to be a part of the LA ‘branch’ for the same reason - it’s not the IDEAL American Escape he had hoped for but when life gives you lemons etc.
I was ALSO thinking that his move to Santa Fe with Cristobal would probably be as close to realizing his American Dream Life as he’d ever have gotten, and uuuhhh I’m sad
